Mulino dei Corti

An important building complex, dating back between the 17th and the 19th century, it is located in San Gerardo neighbourhood, in Monza town centre. Until the 19th century, the block where it is built, between the river Lambro and its artificial arm, the Lambretto, was lapped and crossed by derivation canals which were used to operate the property’s mill.

The building has been renewed and converted for residential use, restoring the inner communicating courtyards and carefully preserving the notable architectural and artistic features of the main building and its 18th century frescos. Il Mugnaio, a coloured okoume-wood sculpture by Bruno Chersicla, is displayed in the entrance hall.
