History
Studio Caravatti e Crippa was set up in 1968 after a car journey – quite pioneering at that time – across the Libyan Sahara: from Monza to Chad, passing through Gibraltar. The travellers were two long-time friends: Gianandrea Caravatti, a surveyor also working in the property sector, and Carlo Crippa, an architect who had been collaborating for some years with an established studio working in the housing cooperative sector.
A profitable collaboration, which has grown more and more steady and dynamic, rose from the joining of their professional experiences.
Over the years, the studio has increasingly realized notable and high-quality residential and utility building projects, both in Monza, in the northern neighbourhoods near the Park, and in other towns of the area (Condominio Quartiere in Caravaggio town centre; Library and Cultural Centre in Brugherio; Elementary School in Vedano; cooperative housing in Cesano Maderno, Saronno and Desio; Cernusco Lombardone Town Hall; Sports Field and Playground in Lomagna, etc.).

After spending years projecting new buildings, the restoration and extension of Villa Tacoli in Monza (Viale Cesare Battisti) in 1972 was a turning point: since then the studio has permanently and almost exclusively committed to restoring prestigious buildings in Monza and Brianza: Villa and Cascina della Prevostura in Calò (Carate); Casa Paleari (Via Vittorio Emanuele), Casa Arrigoni and the former Collegio Fumagalli (via Frisi), Mulino dei Corti (San Gerardino neighbourhood), Villa Tornaghi and Corte dei Tintori (via Zanzi), Contrada Carrobiolo (between via Carlo Alberto and via Frisi) in Monza town centre; Cascina Cappelletti next to Monza town centre. Giardino dei Corti in Monza (via Aliprandi) and Contrada della Torre in Seregno’s historical centre are still being restored.
The high quality of the renewal and restoration interventions over the last few years is acknowledged by the sector’s operators and shows the professional, technical, formal and commercial competence of the studio’s building operations.
