Cascina Cappelletti

This Monza countryside style farmhouse, built around the mid 19th century, is placed along the road connecting Monza and Milan, which, at the end of the 19th century, crossed the fields irrigated by the Villoresi canal and its diverted ditches.

The main buildings and the outhouses have been renewed, restored and converted for residential use, preserving the open courtyard and the central pediment and colonnades of the main façade. The property also houses a little outdoor museum dedicated to the peasant civilization (Museo della civiltà contadina), which collects the original farm and artisan tools found in the farmhouse. Teresina, a corten sheet-steel sculpture by Bruno Chersicla, is displayed in the inner courtyard.
