Christmas cards

A Triestine painter, draughtsman and sculptor, Bruno Chersicla studied art at school and music at a conservatoire. A lover of jazz music and literature, he is one of those artists who embody the peculiar Triestine spirit. He moved to Lombardy and settled down near Milan in 1966. He combined his middle-European roots with mathematical accuracy, intellectual rigour and a neat design. Since the 1970s he has committed almost exclusively to wood sculpture, creating ambiguous and contradictory forms which reveal a provocative and ironic view of figurative arts.

He has collaborated with Studio Caravatti e Crippa by making sculptures and pictorial works that have integrated their restored buildings in Monza town centre and historical neighbourhoods (La Villa, Borgo Carrobiolo, Mulino dei Corti, Cascina Cappelletti).
